Description
There is something special about a C3 Corvette. Its long, undulating hood, unmistakable Coke-bottle shape, and short, windswept rear set it apart from not only every other Corvette generation but every other car ever made. This particular 1972 Chevrolet Corvette comes to us fully repainted in this majestic burgundy. Chrome bumpers, versatile and fun T-tops, and a rear luggage rack are just a few of the features that make this generation of Corvette an object of desire for so many enthusiasts around the world.
Inside we find what was originally a Saddle vinyl interior that has been converted to this beautiful black motif. Two big gauges sit front and center of the driver, just beyond a power-assisted three-spoke steering wheel with a 7,000-rpm tach on the right and a 160-mph speedometer on the left. A five-pod gauge cluster sits atop the center stack, while an upgraded Alpine AM/FM/Cassette stereo handles the soundtrack through the custom speakers in the rear package area behind the seats.
Underneath its signature front-hinged hood, we find a 327 cubic-inch V-8 engine. Topped with a single four-barrel Holley carburetor and Edelbrock intake manifold, this small-block does away with spent gases via a set of long-tube headers and dual exhaust. Power is routed through a tried-and-true four-speed manual transmission before heading out to fifteen-inch Rallye wheels shod in 235/60R-15 Roadmaster tires.
